It is fitting that this years Careers in Construction event for Careers Advisers and Teachers is being held in one of London’s most iconic buildings, London’s Living Room at City Hall, with its skyline views of Tower Bridge, Tower of London and the City of London.

2.00-2.20 Introduction to the Construction Industry – Setting the scene, getting in and Labour market information. Janette Welton-Pai, Partnerships Manager CITB
2.20-2.30 Support for Careers Advisers/Teachers – David Wake, Advisor – London East, CITB
2.30-3.00 Diversity within Construction Panel – Focussing on Women in Construction – the female panel members, who work in different areas of construction, will tell us about their journeys and then take questions from the floor.
3.15-3.45 Careers in Large Scale Construction Projects
When you see these huge city towers or large residential developments being constructed, what occupations are involved, what are the methods used? This panel of experts involved with large scale construction will give us valuable insight.
3.45-4.15 Rotational Roundtable Discussion
Apprentices, Employees and Industry experts will rotate around delegate tables, allowing for that more detailed discussion that can prove so useful to Careers Advisers and Teachers
